China is not the Soviet Union, it's more like America represents the modern day Soviet Union and some of these people are still thinking in terms of their power mad brains how they can control the world on a chessboard, too bad the world have grown much more advance and complex since then not just China but the rest of the developing world is quickly catching up, so America only start fires around the world but they themselves will get burn badly from their own internal mismanagement, just like what's going on in Venezuela, America military intervention could cause another Libya like situation in their backyard, and a worst case scenario, another Vietnam War like situation, all of this stupid little games will not alter the chessboard much and will have negative consequences on America if it backfire like Iraq, and Afghanistan, nothing gained, meanwhile China will just continue to develop at fast pace and America failure to manage their own internal situation will see them in 10 years looking like 50 years backwards. Case in point Chinese infrastructure and many services are already so far ahead of America that all this point to complete internal mismanagement on the USA side. So what is the USA going to do? Start a war with China, remember Chinese people will be completely united and take any hardships that will come very quickly if that happens, the Americans will break apart very quickly due to a very different culture and demographics makeup. In a long war the USA cannot force China into a defeat, same goes for the trade war, it only forces China to upgrade and tweak their own economy much faster, while it did not affect day to day life of ordinary people who still see increases to standard of living.
